Ruth 3:15 in the Hebrew Masoretic text reads “and he went,” not “and she went” into the city; Boaz, not Ruth, goes into the city in Ruth 3:15 in the Hebrew Textus Receptus, the Ben Asher Masoretic text edited by Jacob Ben Chayyim, and in the 1611 King James Version or Authorized Version (and thew New International Version, NIV, and New Revised Standard Version, NRSV. The 1769 KJV reads “and she went,” but this is an error, one followed by the New King James Version (NKJV), English Standard Version (ESV), Legacy Standard Bible (LSB), and Revised Standard Version (RSV).
